about Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience in the mental health field. I have experience providing therapy, clinical supervision, and programing in a range of clinical settings. I have assisted in the development of programs for people experiencing a mental health crisis, an ACT and Self Compassion group, and a harm reduction therapy group. I provide training and clinical supervision for new therapists. Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I worked for community based agencies providing health education and HIV prevention, teaching meditation in juvenile halls, and providing services for people with mental health and substance use challenges.
My practice integrates traditional mindfulness meditation and compassion practices with contemporary evidence based psychotherapy. I started a dedicated meditation practice over 20 years ago and have extensive periods of meditation training and practice in Asia and the US.
I received my MSW from California State University, East Bay and BA from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of California. License # 29029
